Dear friends:

In all of human history, there have been only two times where God got "fed up" with the human race and intervened suddenly and powerfully.  I believe a third time is near.

1.  THE FLOOD IN NOAH'S DAY.  Cause: "The LORD saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time…. the earth is filled with violence" (Genesis 6:5, 13).  It’s like today.

2.  THE CONFUSION OF THE LANGUAGES AT BABEL. Cause: The people wanted to build a tower that reached to the heavens “to make a name” for themselves, an expression of human pride and an attitude that God was not needed, also evil. God said, "If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them (Genesis 11:4, 6).

Both the above are estimated to have occurred just over 4,000 years ago, amazingly close together, meaning rapid population explosion after the flood.

The cause in Noah’s day was evil.  The cause at Babel was also evil, combined with God’s recognition of the communication ability of the people and their ability to do anything they wanted to do to exalt themselves, without Him, unless He stopped them.  Sound familiar?  Sound like today?

TODAY:

Evil is surely as pervasive today as in the days of Noah and Babel, if not more so.

Man’s communication ability is also at an all-time high.  While cultures separate us, computers, satellites, and the language of commerce unite the while world.  Commercially, we have people all over the world using the same products and speaking the same language, and even singing and playing the same often sick music of sex and violence.  And probably in God’s eyes, “nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.”  This includes cloning humans and mixing human and animal DNAs to create monsters without souls.  This is already happening.  Man is creating a nightmare.

All this, plus the political and trade alliances around the world have given a great oneness to people not seen since the days of Babel.

The world today is as in the days of Noah and Babel.  Oh, let’s not forget old Lot, and the pervasive homosexuality and perversion of his day.  Today is also “as in the days of Lot.”

I believe God is about to intervene again.

One big difference: Today there is a remnant of millions of faith-filled, obedient people all over the world who by grace have been given the imputed righteousness of God.  I believe they will soon be removed, just as Noah and Lot were removed.

Jesus is coming.
