"Re: Rachel: 'Count the cost'"

I want to thank my sister Rachel for sharing with us the truth, that when we follow Yeshoe'a , it will cost us the love of the world.
And yes - you are so right!
Only a few years ago ministers in the churches here in Holland used to thank God, that we were able to confess our faith in a free country.
Well, the times are changing!
The only faith you are allowed to confess now is a weak, more or less humanistic faith- everything that looks like the real thing makes you a dangerous , intolerant 'fundamentalist' !
This very week our ( female) Minister of Education, Maria van der Hoeven, made the suggestion to our government to organise a debate between followers of the evolution theory and people, who are interested in something called Intelligent Design, a movement that does not necessarily believe in God as Creator, but that sees a certain design or plan in the development of this planet.
My goodness - the reactions she received  from a lót of our parliament members, socialists, liberals, people from different kinds of political parties,  were nearly frightening:  even the suggestion that there cóuld be a Creator or God caused so much anger, even hatred in these people, which they ventilated without restraint, as if this evolutiontheory were some sort of superreligion and woe to you if you dare to not worship it. The devil must lóve this evolutiontheory!
Looking at the reactions of all these not-saved people, it is a mighty weapon in his hands to keep the people of this world in darkness.
Like I always say: this world accepts and tolerates everything, how dirty, sinful or foul it may be, but don't you dare to confess the One and Only God, who created the heavens and the earth, for the world shall spit you out right away.
Maybe it is a very bad sign if they dón't spit you out!
I am a Bibleteacher at a hardly-christian college and I teach more than 600 youngsters every week.
This schoolyear is as good as finished now, so during the last lessons I am showing my pupils the movie "The gospel of John".
I can recommend this movie to all you Doves who have not seen it yet, for it follows the exact Bibleverses of John's Gospel and if you did not love the Lord a lot before seeing it, you'll start to love Him more and more during the 181 minutes that this movie lasts.
I can see the great impact it has on these young people , of which 80%  come from agnostic or Muslim families.
They look at this movie, picturing Yeshoe'a, with a kind of HUNGER in their eyes. As if they want to say:  "Well.. if HE is God... then we want Him!"
The Lord is clearly using this film to touch hearts and souls.
But, seeing that whole gospel, however well we know it allready, verse after verse, the realisation hits you: only the born-again people, chosen by God Himself before the creation of the world, can accept and love the Son of God.
The religious world and the secular world BOTH hate the Lord, múst hate the Lord, as we see in the New Testament and as soon as the unbelievers and the fake-believers  nowadays 'feel' in us how He has set us free and how NEW we have become by His redeeming power, they have to hate us too. It's a kind of spiritual chemistry!
They feel threatened by us, or - in reality - by the Light of the World in us. Just like sóme people, who are destined by the Father to enter His Kingdom, shall be drawn to us for the same reason.
The Lord Himself says it  in John 6: 44 - "  No man can come to Me, except the Father, which has sent Me, draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day."

Conclusion: if the Father has nót sent a person to His Son to be saved, such a person cannot love us.
The division is inevitable.
Whatever we do or do nót do - it cannot be changed.
My conclusion is:  let's follow the Lord without fear, let us spread the Gospel, give a strong testimony, be transparant, so that His Light can shine through us, pray for friends and enemies and néver bend our knees to the world and the worldly people in it.
The Rapture is só close at hand!
Then we'll be safe forever and ever.
In the world we'll never be safe, but our Lord and Redeemer has conquered the world so let's rejoice!
Shalom to you all,

Gielah Qara'
