If the Israelis were to believe that the Messiah will come when the gate of the Meron Synagogue in upper Galilee falls, and that the Messiah is one of the injured in battle of the End of Days near the "gate of the city" near the cave of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron as this article indicates, they would be looking for a false messiah since the Lord Jesus Christ is the Messiah. Also Revelation 19:11-16 tells us of his coming to earth with his armies from heaven, and Zechariah 14:1-11 tells of his coming to earth to plant his feet on the Mount of Olives along with all his saints.
