In the summer of 2001 we lived in an apartment complex on the northern edge of the village of Holmen, WI.  The children and I were by the garage area enjoying the nice summer afternoon when I noticed what I thought was a helicopter in the northern sky.

We would have the ocassional helicopter so I know what a helicopter is like.

As I watched what I thought was a helicopter I realized it had no helicopter "essentials" beyond being an sphere ... and it made no sound!  It was a shimmering silver/white orb.  The movement was similar to a helicopter but after we watched it for about a minute ... it just disappeared!

We were watching the thing from a distance and saw it from the side.  The Google photo shows it from the top.  It is an orb.

Now it certainly is possible that these things are remote sensors ... but then whoever is using them has some really sophisticated technology!
