  I have to say this.......I feel like I have been craming for a Final Exam this weekend, studying the feasts of Pentecost & Passover, etc.  Why is this?
 
  Yes, I have read the bible from cover to cover......but WHY when it appears that the Lord may (or may not) return THIS SPRING at Pentecost, I find myself scrambling from morning to night trying to gain an understanding of these different spring feasts.....naturally this lops over into the fall feasts.
 
  I KNOW Christmas and Easter (the pagan holidays) INSIDE AND OUT!!  But they are irrelevant with regard to bible prophecy.
 
  But WHY is it that it requires a special effort of intense study for me, a Gentile Christian to grasp the subtleties and significance of the Feasts of the Lord?????  I took a break from all this intense STUDY, and I thought to myself, "Why do I feel like I am craming for a final exam, for a course that goofed off on all semester?  Why is this?"
 
  I think the answer is:  WE ARE NOT TAUGHT THE FEASTS OF THE LORD in our Gentile Christian churches......and we certainly do NOT celebrate them.  But don't stand in front of the church door at the pagan holidays, because you will be trampled down!  But during the Feasts of the Lord, which are drenched in meaning and significance to the Bride of Christ, the churches are darkened and empty.  The Feasts of the Lord are treated as IRRELEVANT in the Gentile dominated Christian churches.
 
  What good does it do to know about easter egg hunts, and santa claus, how to put a christmas tree and halloween?  Zero good.  Yet, THIS is what EVERY child learns about in OUR annual "religious" traditions!  We don't even celebrate the feasts of the Lord....ONLY pagan holidays.
 
  Oh, well.....don't get me started on this subject, .....I'm convinced that the church has thrown the bath water out with the baby in rejecting and refusing to celebrate the Feasts of the Lord.
 
  As a protestant Christian, I've been taught that the Revelation 18:4 "come out from among them" refers to those caught up in the Catholic church which wreaks with paganism.....with graven images everywhere, a DIRECT violation of the 10 Commandments, and their adherence to white-washed supposedly "christianized" ancient Babylonian pagan customs and holidays!
 
  Well, I've got news for US, Messianic Christians (completed Jews) DESPISE "OUR" Protestant Pagan holidays and traditions AND go so far as to say, that WE need to clean up our act and purge ALL pagan traditions and references...we aren't much better than the catholic church!  They feel that our mixed-bag religion is ALSO referred to and included within the Rev. 18:4 warning.
 
  Well.....read for yourself, the link below.  It is EXACTLY what that little voice inside me has been saying, ever since I first read the bible through from cover to cover.....and thought, hmm...I didn't see a single reference to Christmas or Easter.  After further research I learned that these holiday celebrations were very much a part of pagan Babylon and pagan Rome.  They got a white-washing when Constantine converted all of the Roman Empire to Christianity overnight.
 
  Just to clarify: No I don't think we should make animal sacrifices, nor do I feel that celebrating the Feasts of the Lord will make one "saved".  But it would be nice to remember the GREAT MIRACLES of God that HE wants us to remember, don't you think?
 
  But I do know, that if we had been celebrating the feasts of the Lord, filled with prophetic meaning, (much of which, is yet to be fulfilled), I wouldn't have to be doing a cram course on the subject NOW, right before the rapture and the tribulation events!  How much nicer it would have been to have learned these customs and traditions with insight of new testament meaning of it all......because THESE were the holidays that we Christians celebrated year in and year out.  I should be able to teach a class on to others, instead I find myself scrambling to understand them.
 
  I have to say, I agree with this author.  We Protestant Christians need to PURGE all pagan practices from our traditions.  I think it would have made it a lot easier for Jews to convert, if we weren't clinging to our favorite ancient pagan practices.

PS: One more point.  Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, DO do harm.  When I was little, and found out there really wasn't any santa claus and no easter bunny,.....nobody mentioned it, but I concluded that there was no God or Angels either.  I wonder how many atheists/agnostics went through the same experience., and wasted the first half of my adult life as a LOST SOUL.  No doubt, satan is DELIGHTED that we continue to cling to these traditions in lieu of the Feasts of God which commemorate miracles of God.
