TAMPA, Fla. -- With the onset of the 2005 hurricane season little more than two weeks away, meteorologists on Friday warned that conditions in the Atlantic again were ripe for spawning tropical storms that could slam into Florida or other parts of the Eastern U.S. or Gulf coast with potentially devastating and deadly consequences.

TAMPA, Fla. -- Hurricane forecasting guru Dr. William Gray says the next couple of decades are going to be bad news for the Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico. He spoke Friday at the Governor's Hurricane Conference in Tampa. The Colorado State University professor said that it's probably a bleak picture in the coming 15 or 20 years. Gray and his colleague, Phil Klotzbach, said
