"To 1 Corinthians 10:31"
Hello,
I'm so glad to hear that someone else out there is concerned
about the animals. I've prayed every night since 1994 that the Lord
will take my dogs when he takes me in the Rapture. I've actually
agonized over the idea of their being left behind. As I've prayed
about my dogs, God has led me to scriptures which seem to confirm that
he will Rapture our beloved pets along with us.
Noah took animals on board the Ark and the Ark is a symbol
of our safety in Christ Jesus. I realize God intended to repopulate
the earth with these animals, but there are dozens of ways he could have
accomplished this. After all, he is God! Later, I was led to
read Exodus and how the children of Israel were miraculously taken out
of Egyptian bondage - another archtype of the Rapture. In Exodus
12:32, the pharoah instructs them to "also take your flocks and your
herds, as ye have said, and be gone: and bless me also". Then, in
Exodus 12:38, it states, "and a mixed multitude went up also with them;
and flocks, and herds, even very much cattle". God didn't have to put this
in his Word. I think he purposely mentioned the animals because he
foreknew we would be worried about them.
Acts 11:14 says that all our house shall be saved.
But the best scripture, by far, to put our hearts at ease about our pets'
welfare is Romans 8:21 which states, "Because the creature (animal) itself
also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious
liberty of the children of God." It doesn't get much clearer than
that. I believe that God knows how helpless our pets are and that
they would be left at the mercy of wicked humans after our departure.
He knows our hearts and how we long for our furry family members to be
saved along with us. Call it wishful thinking, but I believe our
pets are going up hither right by our sides. Hope this helps.
