There is a book titled The Great Harpazo Deception" (I cannot recall the name of
the author but know that he is jewish).  In this book the government pretty much sold itself to the aliens and a fake rapture is planned.  However, It takes place right after the real rapture occurs, in order to confuse the masses and introduce the anti-christ as the "real christ".  Prior to this the skies are showing a lot of UFO signs everywhere and people are seeing and reporting sights in large numbers.  It is as though satan knew what was coming but could only wait until it happened and then immediately blend in its deceitful move while the real rapture occurs.
