"To Sam Orlando Pentecost
Part 2"
Part 2
When is Pentecost?
There are also other complications.
The Roman church doesn't calculate Pentecost according
to the Biblical calendar but from the spring equinox. I think it's
like this: the first Sunday after the full moon after the spring
equinox is the day of the Resurrection of Messiah. Then Pentecost
is 7 Sundays after this.
Because of this method, some years Rome and all who follow
her are celebrating the resurrection of Yeshua about a month before the
time of His death at Passover.
Then there are the Karaite Jews who calculate according
to the Biblical calendar but it depends on when the barley is aviv in Israel.
This year everything lines up o.k. and so the above doesn't
cause any problem.
As you can see it gets a bit confusing.
One thing we know for sure is that YHWH the one true
God, creator of heaven and earth knows when His appointed times are and
we can be sure that He will keep His appointments with mankind at exactly
the right time on His calendar.
Shalom, Roberta.
