It is good for Christians to study the Jewish roots of the faith and then they don't have to speculate about some things such as the "Last Trump".
 
In ancient Judaism the first trump was referring to Shavuot (Pentecost) and the betrothal and the last trump refers to Yom Teruah   "Day of the awakening blast"  and the wedding.  As most of you know this is Tishri 1 also called Feast of Trumpets  or Rosh Hashannah.
 
(By the way, one of the idioms for this day is "the day no man knows".)
