Much has been said over the past several years regarding the sign of Revelation 12. There have been excellent articles explaining how this sign has appeared in the heavens, primarily on Sept. 12, 1999 which was the end of Rosh Hashanah of that year. Many of us, myself included, believe this was an awesome sign of how near the time of the end is. The following link is a great article by Greg Killian explaining this sign of 1999. It is also noteworthy that this sign has been appearing each fall from 1996 through 2000 due to the precession of the earth. The current trajectory of the moon through the heavens follows a lower, more WSW path then it did from 1996-2000 due to precession, so this sign no longer appears each fall.

Revelation 12:1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. 3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. Virgo represents the woman about to give birth. She is clothed with the sun because it is at dusk. The moon represents the child. The moon is in a position of "birth" within Virgo. The next night the moon moves to a position higher and more WSW in the sky, so it is positioned "under her feet." The moon is moving towards Scorpio [representing the dragon/Satan] each successive evening. Scorpio is located where Mars is on the chart above. So the dragon is about to devour the child that was just born.

It seems like an amazing sign. That it occurred on Rosh Hashanah makes it very significant. But this is nothing in comparison to what is going to occur in 2005!

From the time of the Pentecost sign in the heavens this Shavuot, May 25-27, 2004, to the time of the start of the unbelievable 2005 sign in August, Jupiter will be approaching and enter Virgo from the direction of Leo. Jupiter just enters Virgo on 9/11/2004, but it will not be visible because it will be too close to the sun and the horizon at sunset as viewed from Jerusalem. 9/11 is an interesting date for this to happen I would say. Jupiter continues to travel deeper into Virgo from 9/11/2004 through Aug. 2005. See the following link illustrating the Shavuot 2004 sign:

Then, the awesome sign of 2005 begins at dusk Aug. 13, 2005. On this day, Jupiter "the man child / Messiah" will be in the center of Virgo, Virgo will be "clothed with the sun" because it is dusk, and the moon will be "under her feet." Venus will also just enter Virgo on this day. Here is a chart of the sign from Jerusalem @ 8:30PM:

This sign appearing after sunset on Aug. 13, 2005 is very significant because it occurs the 9th of Av which starts that very evening! Also keep in mind that the number 13 means rebellion. Jupiter [Hebrew: Tzedek] means the King star; the Lord our righteousness [I.E. the Messiah]. It is towards the "center or womb" of Virgo. Virgo [Hebrew: Bethulah] means the virgin; promised seed of the woman. Venus [Hebrew: Nogah] means the bright and morning star; it can represent either the Messiah or the bride depending on the context of surrounding celestial events. In this context it represents the Messiah as well.

This sign is a much better depiction of Revelation 12 then the event of Sept. 12, 1999 in my humble opinion. The 1999 event required the moon to represent the man child on the 12th, and then the next day later it had to be the moon under Virgo's feet. Moreover, the moon [Hebrew: Lavanah] really means Messianic hope rather than the Messiah Himself. On Aug. 13, 2005 we have a more complete picture of Rev. 12 on a significant date, the 9th of Av. Virgo is higher in the sky at dusk so this will be easier to see, and you can see Virgo's head. On Sept. 12, 1999 the Virgin's head was already descending below the horizon when the sign became visible in the evening sky. That this sign occurs on a 13 & the 9th of Av could be very significant. I will expand upon this later.

Incredibly, this is not the end of this celestial story. The context of this sign, and associated story of Rev. 12, continues from the 9th of Av 2005 to the end of Succoth 2005 & it's subsequent feasts. Jupiter and Venus continue to travel down through the body of the virgin Virgo through early September 2005, as visible in the early evening sky in Jerusalem. This represents the progression of the birthing process. On Sept. 1, 2005 there is a conjunction of Jupiter and Venus within Virgo; a strong sign of the Messiah in this continuing progression of the Revelation 12 story. Then on Sept. 6-7, 2005 Venus representing the Messiah is "born." This is the day after Rosh Chodesh Elul; meaning the new moon starting the month of Elul. The actual sighting of the new moon will likely not be until the evening of either the 6th or 7th because the new moon will be too low on the horizon and too close to the sun at sundown to be visible on the actual Rosh Chodesh which is Sept. 4-5 on the calendar. This new moon will also be in conjunction with Venus and Jupiter within Virgo. The conjunction will be on opposite sides of Venus & Jupiter on these 2 days; the moon moving in the direction of birth through Virgo. Again, a strong sign of the "birth" of Messiah in our story. While all these celestial signs are dominating the evening hours, another part of the story is being told in the predawn hours. From approximately Aug. 16, 2005 through Aug. 26, 2005 Mercury and Saturn will be visible in the ENE at early dawn. Specifically, on Aug. 20-21, 2005 there will be a conjunction of Mercury and Saturn in Cancer. Here is the chart of this event as seen from Jerusalem @ 5:00AM:

Saturn [Hebrew: Shabbtai] generally represents Satan. Mercury [Hebrew: Kokah] can represent the angel Gabriel; it also means the messenger. Cancer [Hebrew: Sartan] means the sheepfold; to bind together; Messiah's redeemed; His possessions held fast. This sign pictures the battle occurring over the redeemed between Satan and God and His angels. With Mercury representing both "the messenger" and the angel Gabriel; the angels warring with Satan in the heavens. If we look at the balance of Revelation 12, we see this being portrayed.

Revelation 12:6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. 7 And war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon and his angels fought, 8 but they did not prevail, nor was a place found for them in heaven any longer. 9 So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. 10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. [NKJV]

While the battle is over the fate of mankind in general, it is also focused on the redeemed in particular because they will be the overcomers by the blood of the Lamb. This sign clearly pictures this focused battle over these people, while at the same time, we have the developing representation of the rest of the story occurring at dusk at the same time! And the messenger star is visible at magnitude 0.7 [Mercury is not usually this bright]. A few days later on Aug. 25, there is a conjunction of the Moon and Mars [I.E. War] high in the night sky which further reinforces this sign of the battle.

Another very interesting fact about the time leading up to the beginning of these celestial signs is that on Nov. 5, 2004 Jupiter & Venus will be in conjunction in Virgo, and Mars will also be in Virgo at this time. This is one full revolution of Venus through the Mazzaroth prior to it's entering Virgo on the Aug. 13, 2005 sign presented above. It is also exactly 280 days/40 weeks prior to the Aug. 13, 2005 sign! The exact average gestation period for a baby. The only problem is that this Nov. 5, 2004 conjunction occurs in the middle of the day so it will not be visible, but it is interesting none the less.

Back to Dusk. From Sept.6-7, 2005 through approximately Sept. 25, Jupiter will also be moving towards the birthing position in Virgo, and will be just disappearing below the horizon when it becomes visible after sunset. Venus will be moving towards Scorpio as well. Here is the view of this on Sept. 25 from Jerusalem @ 6:10PM:

The Virgin "Israel" bringing forth the "Man Child" Yeshua, is for the purpose of redemption of his people, both old and new covenant. In the Sept 25 chart above, you will also see that Venus, also representing the Messiah Yeshua, is just entering into the constellation of Libra. Libra [Hebrew: Mozanaim] means the scales weighing; purchase; redemption. This sign represents the price which is deficient / verdict against man on the one side of the scale, and the price which covers on the other side of the scale showing His payment of redemption for mankind. The bringing forth of the man child was for the purpose of a final everlasting atonement for sin. This sign further picturing the story of Rev. 12 is awesome indeed, but it is not the only thing happening on this day! On this very night the moon will also be in Gemini. This will be visible from approximately midnight until dawn as the moon and Gemini transverse the night sky. The moon [Lavanah] represents messianic hope, while Gemini [Teomaim] the twins sometimes represents His two peoples, Israel and the church. This contextual meaning is gloriously harmonious with the dusk sign occurring the very same night. Simply incredible.

For the next several days, Virgo will be disappearing into the sunset horizon and will no longer be visible. This fulfills Rev.12:6 "Then the woman fled into the wilderness". Venus will continue to move directly towards the mouth of Scorpio. This moves us to the next amazing event in the heavens.

On Oct. 3, 2005, the day of the eve of Rosh Hashanah, there will be a solar eclipse as seen from Jerusalem. Although it is an annular eclipse, it's significance cannot be neglected. Especially since it occurs on a significant date and within the context of all the other signs of this season of warning. Here is a chart of this eclipse from Jerusalem @ 12:00 noon:

I think you will notice some striking features in this chart. This eclipse occurs within Virgo the virgin. Jupiter has now been "born". The woman is "still clothed with the sun" during this eclipse. Mercury has moved from Cancer and is conjoined to Jupiter in Virgo. Saturn and Venus have not yet moved from their current constellations on this day. This is yet another example of a heavenly fulfillment of the words sign of Rev. 12, within the context of another sign itself, an eclipse, on a very significant date the beginning of Rosh Hashanah.

If you are like me, I'll bet your saying 'NO WAY" right now, but your head is going to zoom because the signs are still not done!! A few days after this eclipse, on Oct. 7,2005 the moon and Venus will be in conjunction at the mouth of Scorpio. Here is the chart from Jerusalem @ 6:10PM:

This is a fulfillment of Rev. 12:4 "And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born." Scorpio/Scorpius [Hebrew: Akrab/Aqurav] means wounding him that cometh; the conflict. Is your head zooming now? There is more.

Each evening Venus will transverse Scorpio moving towards the feet of Ophiuchus. On Oct. 17-18, 2005 there is a conjunction of Mars and the Moon while Venus is about to move out of Scorpio. Oct. 17-18 is the start of Sukkoth! Again we there is a representation of conflict in a sign that is on a significant date in a season of significant signs and dates. Moreover, each evening during Sukkoth, Scorpio will be diving towards the earth at dusk, while at the same time Venus moves into Ophiuchus. Following is the chart for the last day of Sukkoth Oct. 24, 2005 @ 6:10PM:

This fulfills Rev. 12:9 "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth." In this sign we also have Ophiuchus [the serpent holder] standing on Scorpio with Venus [Messiah] moving into Ophiuchus. Within this context, Ophiuchus represents Christ ultimately defeating Satan / Scorpio; and ruling in power with His enemies trampled under His feet. This is also harmonious with our Rev. 12 story.

And thus our great signs of the 2005 fall season have ended. In my humble opinion this is utterly unbelievable!!

Now I am going to speculate a little and come back to the point of the 9th of Av sign I put on hold earlier. I have recently written several letters explaining my current hypothesis that the final 7 years could run from Fall 2005 to Fall 2012. If this were to be correct, then these signs we just examined seem to point to the exact start of this period. The 9th of Av is the day of the destruction of the first and second temples, and other tragic events for Jews. If the confirming of the covenant were to occur during or at the conclusion of these signs, this could tie into the theme of the 9th of Av. Based upon my hypothesis, the 9th of Av is the very day that the Abomination of Desolation might occur 4 years later in 2009. The number 13 also relates to the rebellion of Israel by the act of entering into the covenant with death. Here is a link to my hypothesis for those how have not seen it yet:

Regardless of whether my hypothesis is correct or not, I think these are truly the most direct celestial signs of the times we will see to date. This find also confirms my conviction that we have yet a way to go before we see our Savior. I am relatively certain that there will be no rapture this spring, or this year at all. There is a good chance of major events in this world prior to the start the final years though. We must continue to keep our faith in Him and follow where He leads us. He will reveal to us what is happening according to His perfect timing. The signs in the heavens this spring and fall 2005 might be a part of this.
