This makes more sense. Why create another taking away of people when he could use the real taking away to his advantage. Yes satan does counterfeit Jesus and the Father but if it gets too complicated people will be lost in all that has happened and not sure what to do and might not follow him. Plus since he doesn't know when the rapture will happen he would have to scramble to get things in place for his fake rapture. But coming up with a believable lie about the real one takes less effort and with society that likes simple, quick, no thought on their part answers this "using the rapture to his advantage" would give him that.
