I certainly wouldn't rule out a serious economic collapse or depression ushering in martial law.
But there will have to be something awfully big out there, and almost catastrophic to accomplish that.
Something many times bigger than the near financial melt down back in 1987.
And I also think in terms of a serious infrastructure breakdown; such as something that could interfere or stop the transportation system of goods and services throughout the country to help accomplish such a scenario.
