Interesting that the Israelites wandered for 37years in the wilderness and from 1967 to 2004 = 37 years.  Also that Ascension day is at this time.

1) Preparation for departure from Sinai Num 1 1-10:10 = 2 yrs
2) The journey from Sinai to the borders of Canaan. ch. 10:11-14:45 = 37 yrs wanderings
3) The last year , from the second arrival of the Israelites in Kadesh till they reached "the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho." ch.20:1-36 :13. (all tribes and sojourners) As per Smith's Bible Dictionary.
 
It is just so amazing that it was 37 years then and it seems the same now - something brewing.
Just read an awesome book "The Gold of Exodus" where two men used only the Bible to find the exact spot of Sinai -  meant a great deal to me - the only sure Word we have is His Word. God is in the details!
