"saved brains, deliverance from thoughts"

Recently I wrote here about some of the reasons some of us have difficulties re certain thoughts and sins and how spirits can tag us, thus bringing more trouble. I read a book recently that has brought me lots of relief re some of these issues. I will briefly describe the main points. The book was written by Robb Thompson and it is titled. The Great Exchange, exchanging our thoughts for God's thoughts.

Robb was saved in a mental institution. He was immediately relieved from the war in his head. But a little later the attack returned. This book is a result of his struggle and deliverance from Satan's attack on our minds.

First the scriptures of salvation are given. When we become saved scripture says we are the righteousness of Christ and we have a great burden lifted. But as many of us know things soon begin falling apart. We are tagged and a target for the spirits who work against us and want to neutralize us. One of the biggest ways is the planting of unwholesome thoughts in our brains. We either have God's thoughts or Satan's thoughts, really there is no between that we can claim for ourselves. So the bad thoughts come in and we feel guilty for thinking them, we obsess with them and they get worse than some of us actually do the thoughts. Satan makes us feel guilty for having the thoughts because he makes us think they belong to us and that we are bad and that God cant change us which is all a lie. Now if we have bad thoughts does that mean we are not saved?. What is saved?, our body?, our mind which is an organ of our body?. Both of those will be gone and not the real us. Or mind is an organ or a conduit. The word speaks about washing the mind with the water of the word and in places speaks of the sanctification and salvation of the mind. What Robb did was recognize these thoughts as not him but a spirit. He would say Jesus I love you. I want to show you this thought that is bothering me then he would say thought, tell Jesus what you told me. He disowned the thought and therefore the trick of Satan to make him feel guilty for having that thought lost its sting. Gradually this man got back control of his brain. It is a great relief to know that we do not have to own these thoughts, it is a great tool when dealing with them.

There is much more I can say that I think will be helpful to some of you. I know that there are many with problems like this they struggle with.

God bless
