I have been listening to a young fellow from Canada that God has been using mightily. It seems to me that the key to his succes is that he spends a great deal of time waiting on the Lord. Hours on hours spent waiting. Now this might seem much but think how much time you spent watching TV, talking on the phone, reading a book or just recreating. Where is our priority?. Should we expect much when we give God second fiddle.
 
The method he uses is simple. He blocks all other thoughts out of his mind except concentrating on Jesus and expecting. Music that is soothing helps to fascilitate our minds into a receptive mood. However, certain requirements must be met first which should seem obvious to an educated Christian.
 
 Repentance of course, that must be sincere and daily. filling the mind with his word and laying down old thought patterns that walk in darkness.
 
Acts of love done for others, tithing and alms are acts of love. Jesus said you do well to tithe, but that it must also be done with love if heaven is to be opened.
 
Lastly we must understand that God does desire to comunicate with us on a personal level, we can not hear without faith that he will do as He says. . Will we be willing to wait on the Lord for heaven to open up for us?. The scripture is full of examples of heaven opening up to those who would spend time with him.
