"RE: No Salt"

Dear Doves,
I agree  with  Calvin that literal Babylon is not the end time Babylon
but I do think that it would be appropriate if America, a Christian
nation in origin, is judged.  Israel failed to follow and worship God
and God corrected her many times until eventually He raised us up.  Now
we have failed and I can't see God doing any less with us.
While we were a godly nation we were blessed.  In only  fifty or so
years we went down the slippery slope.  As a nation we do not have the
moral integrity we had fifty years ago. Everything has become relative
which has only resulted in lowering our standards and I am not even
addressing the higher standards of  our brothers and sisters.
I recently read in the Book of Martyrs that the slaves of the first
century church did not want their freedom because they believed that the
last would be first but Paul, in Philemon, counsels them to take their
freedom if it is offered. It just blew my mind to see the obvious total
commitment  they had to God's Word and their faith.
Thanks for the chance to put in two cents.
God, our Lord Jesus Christ, guide us all.
