Hi Gina
This is a post where a guy talks about seeing the dust.
I could not find where this was posted at on GLP, but I printed it and here it is: DonnaLA is covered in dust today - not just the basin - the dust goes above the mountains in the LA national forest.
(Someone asks him if it is pollen, and he answers)
Nope - not pollen. Dust - above the LA National Forest Mountain range. Pollution does not go that high - it hangs down in the basin. I've lived here for 29 years with a view from my house of the mountains. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I SEEN POLLUTION IN THE FOOTHILLS, MUCH LESS ABOVE THE MOUNTAINS. I take the 210 every day - THIS IS NEW. Pollution does not rise above the basin - it sits in the basin.
BTW - if you're looking for the "dust" you won't see it unless you have a backdrop to gauge it against - like a mountain range. I did not notice it until I was driving home.
LOOK PEOPLE - IT IS THERE !!!!!
