"LEE IN STAGE 4 OF HODGKIN'S
DISEASE"
There are 4 stages of Hodgkin's lymphoma disease
with stage 1 being the earliest stage and stage 4 being the advanced stage
of this cancer. I don't know why I was told that my husband Lee was in
the medium stages of Hodgkin's at our previous visit to the hospital, but
this is not really the case. At Lee's chemo therapy session at the
hospital yesterday, I asked the doctor if Lee was in stage 2 or stage 3
of Hodgkin's disease; but I was told by his doctor that Lee is actually
in stage 4 of Hodgkin's which also involves his liver, spleen, bone marrow,
and lymph nodes. The doctor also told us yesterday that he has a
50% plus chance of beating this cancer, and he will be having chemo therapy
twice a month or ever other week for the next 6 months besides having his
blood count checked once a week. Without the chemo therapy treatment, the
doctor told us he would probably survive only about 6 months. He will also
be receiving another catscan in 3 months to see how much the tumor has
shrunk.
Please keep us in your prayers the next six months.
We are just living one day at a time, and I am trying not to think about
a future without my husband. I know that nothing with God is impossible
to do. On the other hand, I also know that the Lord sometimes allows
things to happen in our lives for his own purposes, but in the final outcome,
"we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,
to them who are the called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28)
God bless you all and thanks for all your prayers,
Donna
