"PRAYERS FOR MY HUSBAND"

Dear John & Doves,

Please just continue to keep my husband in your prayers.  The doctors may have to do a colonoscopy today to find out what caused the loss of my husband's blood.  I also forgot to mention before that he had a fever of 101.8 degrees  when the ambulance took him to the hospital late on Sunday.  He was feeling much better yesterday after the blood transfusion Sunday night and was up and walking around keeping the nurses busy following him around, and he was ready to leave the hospital yesterday.  However, his temperature went up to 103 degrees around 5 p.m. yesterday, but he cooled down after they gave him two Tylenol.

Please pray that the doctors find out what caused his loss of blood and what is causing him to have a fever so that they can treat him right away.  I know that he dislikes being in the hospital just as much as my daughter Lorraine and I miss having him home here with us. I had originally thought that the bleeding might have been caused by his continuing to take aspirin for the throbbing in his right sacrioliac joint these past four months and his refusing to see a doctor until two weeks ago when the doctor later switched him to celebrex and then later changed the prescription to ultracet.  Aspirin is known to cause bleeding of the stomach.  However, my husband never complained of his stomach bothering him nor did he have any pains in lower intestinal tract either so we will just have to wait and see what the doctors find out. We just found out a week ago that he was anemic and low on potassium and calcium and he was due to go back to the doctor's office today for more blood tests.  However, I had to call 911 for an ambulance on Sunday night as he couldn't move.

My greatest concern though is that I am not sure that he is saved, and my prayer to the Lord has been for the Lord to take years off of my life but just don't let my husband die before being saved.  Our 25 year old daughter's prayer has been for Jesus to take years off of her life and add them on to her Dad's life as she wants him to walk her down the aisle one day at her wedding and for him to see his grandchild one day as my husband is 77 and I am 55.  It is not very comforting to know that my husband's 74 yr. old mentally retarded sister has been having dreams that he was dead.  I greatly appreciate your prayers for his recovery for nothing is impossible for God to do.

God bless,

Donna
