""I 'USED TO BE' a 'Christian'"....(joke)"

Doves:

The small P.C.A. Church I have been attending has a Wednesday
morning Men's Prayer Breakfast.  At this breakfast we have a nice
meal and then we "REALLY / ACTUALLY" take turns and pray.....
one at at time!!!  I have enjoyed these as much as any "part" of the
church since I started attending last year.

On Wednesday morning, an electrician who was going to rewire
the old church building (interestingly the same one who rewired
it 50 years ago) was there early and ate with us.  He was sharing
how sad it was to see his old church just disintegrate.  What had
happened was, his Christian (a denomination like Baptist, Methodist,
Presbyterian, etc.) Church where he lived had just recently decided
to sell their old church building.  Most of the young members who
grew up there had moved away and weren't coming back.  (I live in
the Mississippi Delta.)  He was in charge of the building's sale and
said it was sad to go and just sit in the old church...."remembering"
all the people who have passed on and the good times of the past,
little church's, history.

One of the Presbyterian members told about someone who had
"formerly" been a member of a "Christian" denomination.  Evidently,
some ladies (I believe) were sharing their denominational history and
one of them spoke up and said, "I used to be a Christian before I
married a Presbyterian!!!"

(Anyway....I thought it was funny.)

GOD BLESS!!!

P.S.:

Perhaps I need to explain.  The "heaviness" of some of my
posts of late have left me really "WASTED"...even though
I believe I was supposed to post them.  I have learned over
time and MANY posts not to always trust my "dismayed"
feelings.  After sending in one and feeling REALLY down, it
seemed the Lord, after checking with scripture, etc. was
saying to me:  "Be strong....do the work."

I sent in this humor this morning PRIOR TO the "enlightenment"
of the "GLORIFICATION" post which then led me to the "A closing
door - REPENT NOW!" post.

I believe we NEED to find diversion to some of the heaviness
of the hour.  Last night I watched about half of a 3 hour movie.
I just thought I would EXPLAIN...in case someone reading this
puts it into the wrong light with my other posts of the day.

Thanks for understanding!!!

   Jeremiah 29
11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD ,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future. 12 Then you will call upon me and come
and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me
and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
