Boeing test pilot Randy Neville, facing camera, is greeted by Rich Nelson,
Boeing test manager for the F-22 Raptor, after landing the advanced fighter.
But most had never seen the fighter firsthand, even though they have been
working on the program for years. That changed yesterday, when the F-22 made its first appearance in Seattle.
Several hundred workers cheered as the fighter flew low and slow over Boeing
Field and landed and taxied to an area near the Museum of Flight. The F-22 was
followed just behind and above by an Air Force F-15, carrying a photographer
to document the fighter's first flight to Seattle.
