Recently I watched the end of the 2004 Prophecy Conference where the
speakers http://www.godsnews.com/speakers.htm were all talking about
what they were seeing on the horizon.  Sadly, not a syllable was spoken
about the judgment on America.  It was, to me, VERY unfulfilling to the soul.
Yes, they brought a lot of knowledge to the table and, yes, that was 3 months
ago, but they all seemed to agree that now that we have returned to the Old
Testament Babylon / Iraq, we sort of need to watch this area.  They all seemed
to agree that the "Babylon" in Revelation 18 MUST be the Babylon / Iraq where
our troops are now!!!"  In other words, it will be developed and democratized over
time and BECOME that commercialized Babylon spoken of in Revelation 18.

Joe Van Koevering was actually making a joke of all the the "old" teachers who
had written books about the Babylon of Revelation 18 being America.  The tenor
of their ENTIRE conference, therefore, degenerated into nothing more than an
ego trip for some of the greatest prophecy teachers in the world!!!  There were huge
banners stating "ON THE BRINK OF RAPTURE!!!" and yet what was taught actually
KEPT ONE FROM BEING MORE WATCHFUL!!!  The end of the conference seemed
to be directed at "LOOKING AT IRAQ!!!"...."THE COMMERCIALIZATION OF IRAQ
WILL BRING US TO THE TIME OF REVELATION 18!!!  I couldn't disagree more!!!

The way I personally see this is that, this country, like a HUGE jolly green giant,
FALLS at the beginning of this "NEW DAY" and the world all notices.  Then the
ENTIRE world system (the BEST example of which is the U.S.), which is affected
by a "Babylon" type of thinking becomes changed by the antichrist and we are into
the tribulation.
