Largest prayer meeting ever!Thursday, April 29, 2004
Dear Randy
In less than 72 hours the largest corporate prayer meeting in Christendom
will be underway in ALL 58 countries of Africa, over 1300 stadiums and large venues, and an
estimated 44 million participants. I am on my way to Cape Town, South Africa
where the Newlands Rugby Stadium will become the "pulpit" for this
unprecedented intercessory gathering. The Transformation Movement (led by Graham Power in close association with
Michael Cassidy and other pulpit leaders) has been unusually blessed by God
with the anointing required to bring ALL 58 countries in Africa together for
a Day of Prayer "a la II Chronicles 7:14." In some countries the
participation is massive and in large venues -- like in South Africa and
Nigeria -- but in other countries where non-Christian religious governments
rule the participation is less public but equally intense. In fact, in one
nation where 99% of the population is labeled Muslim, 100% of the Christians
plan to participate. In Egypt alone over 50 cities are part of this
continental prayer canopy over Africa.Graham Power and the Transformation Movement have bestowed on me the
tremendous honor, and equally great responsibility, to be the main speaker
at this event that will be carried live by several radio and TV networks.Today I am writing to you, my dear friend, to enlist your participation in
prayer and fervent intercession. The official program runs for three hours
and will begin at 4:00 AM Pacific Standard Time on Sunday, May 2nd. We are
totally dependent on the Lord for this. Please, pray for the following:1. For anointing on ALL the participants, those on the platform and those on
the field. Pray that God's anointing will truly overpower us.2. Pray for protection since we are coming against significant spiritual
powers that have usurped the heavenly places over Africa for too long and
now feel threatened -- as they should. We have already felt -- and continue
to feel -- the pressure coming from them and our only refuge is the Lord
Himself. Please pray for protection for us, for our families, for our staff
and for our supporters.3. Pray for EXTRAORDINARY MIRACLES. These are miracles that have not
happened yet, or that have not happened on a large scale. One of Africa's
top needs is healing from AIDS. Pray that faith from the word and by the
Spirit will flow into the millions holding hands and linking hearts and that
God will hear our cry and heal the continent. Also pray for other needs as
the Lord leads you.My dear friend, I must run to catch the plane. Please pray, and if at all
possible, let me know you are praying. It will minister to me and to my
team.In Him,
Ed Silvoso
