Dear John and Doves:

On the night of 3-01-13 (Friday), I had trouble sleeping.  This usually happens when I can’t stop thinking about things and my mind won’t shut down, but this time, it was different.  I wasn’t thinking about anything, that I’m aware of.  It was close to midnight when I went to bed.  I closed my eyes and images started to flash through my mind, very quickly.

First, I saw a door.  It looked like a normal door, it was a normal size, the color of it was white and it had a window in the upper part of the door.  The window was approximately 24” wide x 36” high.  I could see bright light coming through the window, but the window was like etched glass, so that I couldn’t see what was on the other side, just the light.  The door started opening at a slow to normal speed, and then hesitated momentarily at about 12”, and I could see that the light was shining through into the area that I was standing in, which was rather dimly lit.  The door opened into the room, and it opened from right to left (from my perspective).  Then suddenly the door was flung wide open, very quickly.  It startled me, I jerked my head backwards and opened my eyes.

I closed my eyes again and tried to go to sleep.  Second, I saw fishing rods.  I could see the fishing lines hanging down from the tips of the rods as if someone was fishing, but I couldn’t see where the lines met water, nor did I see water.  I couldn’t see the other ends of the fishing rods, the part where the reels connect to them or who was holding them, if anyone was.  They almost seemed to be suspended in mid air.  There were at least 4 or these fishing rods, but possibly a few more.  This flashed very quickly through my mind.  Again, the light was dim.  It was as though I was standing in a dimly lit area or it was like watching a TV screen in a dimly lit room and not really being aware of your surroundings.

Just as I was thinking, “this is weird”, I saw the 3rd image.  There was snow on the ground and there was a mound or hill that was either covered in snow or made of snow.  I’m not sure of the size because there was nothing around like a tree or bush to help me get a perspective of the size.  The hill was sort of triangular is shape, but it wasn’t a very steep hill.  I have the impression that there was a full moon because it was shining down on the hill.  I couldn’t see the moon, because it appeared to be to my left and slightly behind me.  Snow on the hill started to crumble, break away and roll down the hill, like an avalanche was starting and then I could see the hill and ground start to shake like an earthquake.

My eyes opened again.  I thought, okay, maybe I just drank to much iced tea and need to go the bathroom.  So, I got up, took care of that, noticed the time was 12:57 a.m., and got back in bed thinking that I would be able to go to sleep.  I thought about the 3 images for just a minute or so and then tried to go to sleep, but another image, the 4th flashed into my mind.  I think that I must have been standing on a pier, but I’m not sure.  Again, I have the impression that the moon was full and to my left.  I could see water below me and then two boats appeared in the water directly in front of me.  The sides of the boats were facing me.  There was nothing around for perspective, so I’m not sure how big they were.  The boats were made of wood, they were painted white on the inside and the color of the outside of the boats was a dark color.  I think the color was a dark reddish color, but that could just be an impression.

The 5th and final image was the quickest flash.  I saw different kinds of animals, that were more like silhouettes, but the one that I did see clearly was a giraffe.  Maybe that’s because when I see pictures of Noah’s ark and the animals, it’s the giraffe that always stands out more than the other animals.
