"Reply to Donald Price's reply of Mar. 2nd."

Dear Donald, I was happy to read your reply to me on Mar. 2nd, and then saddened to read of your four departed loved ones in your Feb.28th reply to Frank Molver. I accessed your Lordís Prayer song of May 2012, and was inspired by your heartfelt rendition. You suggested more testimonials would be good, and requested my full story.

The full story would require a book, but perhaps I could give you and any interested Doves a brief outline.

Iíve almost drowned three times; Iíve been involved in many near- accidents on the road, where another coat of paint, or another tenth of a second wouldíve proved fatal. Iíve had four car accidents, with one landing me in hospital; Iíve had work and play injuries, which I carry around with me every day (one of which required hospitalisation). But here is where I must thank and praise the Triune God, for it is Godís love, power, grace, forgiveness, mercy and authority which have kept me going; and Iím still reasonably employed at this time.

We live in a dangerous world, but our Lord Yeshua said, ďBut take heart! I have overcome the world.Ē (Jn16:33)

In my rebellious teen years, I fell a certain distance from the Kingdom of Heaven, but the Good Lord brought me back from the brink, with the rod and with a firm and mighty hand. I and my family are now covered with the Blood. And the blood of his son Jesus cleanses us from every sin. (1st John 1:7b GWT)

Then God kept testing me before blessing me. I had to build spiritual muscles before I could handle more spiritual weight; more responsibility. Iím sure He has done a similar work with you and other Christians.

I was raised in a less-than-blissful Lutheran home, but We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God --- those whom he has called according to his plan. (Romans 8:28 GWT) My parents and siblings did what they did at the time, with the health, emotions and faith which they possessed at the time. As the Good Book says, ďForgive us for our sins, just as we have forgiven those who sinned against us.Ē (Mt.6:12 NCV) Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. (1st Jn. 4:7a NIV) and But Joseph said to them, (his brothers) ďFear not, for am I in the place of God? As for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, to bring it about that many people should be kept alive, as they are today. (Gen.50:19-20 RSV)

The Triune God reached out to me in grace and when I responded, then the Lord blessed me with salvation, and with more grace and faith. Now, He has blessed me with knowledge of the Word, revelation of the end-times, and a yearning to see my Saviour face to face. Jesus said, ďAsk and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.Ē (Matt. 7:7 NIV)

I have earnestly sought out the revelation of the end times, and God has blessed me, and other like-minded Christians, with this extra information. As Jesus said, ďBut I call you friends, because I have made known to you everything I heard from my Father.Ē (Jn.15:15b NCV) And as the writer to the Hebrews wrote, Likewise, Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of humanity, and after that he will appear a second time. This time he will not deal with sin, but he will save those who eagerly wait for him. (Hebrews 9:28 GWT)

Now it seems we are soon to depart this rebellious world and be with the One who saved us with his blood. When I was young, I had no idea of the journey the Holy Spirit was going to lead me on. This is the first time I have put it down in writing like this. Wow! What a journey! I can do everything through him (Jesus) who gives me strength. (Phil. 4:13 NIV )

It has been painful, with my wife suffering deep depression and hospitalisation for three nervous breakdowns, and the (understandable, considering ) resultant rebellious behaviour of my (then) teenage daughters.

As you wrote, when youíre that low, the only way is up. And itís always by Godís grace. Jesus said....ĒThen you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.Ē (Jn 8:32 NIV ) And, The LORD lifts the poor from the dirt and takes the helpless from the ashes. (Ps 113:7 NCV) And, The LORD defends the humble, (Ps 147:6a NCV)

The Triune God has done it all. All I have done is to stop rebelling and to more and more respond to His grace, and receive His love, and believe His Word. It is Justification, then Sanctification (being more like Christ in word and deed, day by day), and then itís Glorification.

Godís blessings to you, Donald; and to all readers, from Andrew B.
