What's causing those mysterious sounds?
"Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now." Romans 8:21,22
We here at the NTEB News Desk have been waiting to see how this story was going to pan out before weighing in with the two cents worth of our opinion. At first, it seemed like doctored videos with the sounds layered on top. But so many reports have flooded news agencies around the world that whatever is making these noises appears to be a legit source. So the $64,000 Question is what exactly is making these weird noises?
They, at times, sounds like an intergalactic hum. Others are more like a trumpet or the moaning of a great animal. A recent story from the Daily Mail UK attempts to make the pitch that the noises are being generated by "electromagnetic noise emitted from auroras and radiation belts". But that explanation doesn't satisfy because if that's the case, why are they just appearing now? No, I think we need to dig a little deeper than the easy answer.
The bible says that we are living in the last days, the end times. We are privileged to a part of the generation that may witness the return of Jesus Christ for His church at the event known as the Rapture. The bible says that in the end of time Israel would be regathered as a nation. This prophecy was fulfilled on May 14, 1948. The bible also said that one of the signs would be the whole world's attention riveted on tiny little Israel as the Muslim world prepared to come against it, and we see that happening right now as well. So it makes perfect sense to us that as these things happen, that even creation itself would be lifting it's voice in preparation for the fulfillment of all things. All through the bible are verses that point to the fact that God's creation is alive and, upon His command, is quite able to communicate with us. Please note the following verses:
For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now." Romans 8:22

    "And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples. And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." Luke 19:39,40
    "And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!" Matthew 8:26,27
    "Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world." Psalm 19:2-4a

And of course there is the verse we used to open this article from Romans 8 that says the "whole creation groans" while it waits to be released from the curse God placed upon it in Genesis 3. So does it really surprise you that now, when we are so close to the time of the end that the bible promised would one day arrive, that a vast groaning noise is now beginning to make itself known all over the world? It doesn't surprise us at all. In fact, we've been expecting it. The bible says this:
"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork." Psalm 19:1
Man is the only part of God's creation that rebels against Him. Nature listens, and nature does what God commands it to do. One only has to read through the book of Revelation and see the judgments that God brings on this world during the Tribulation, to know just how much that nature will be used as a "heavenly weapon" to carry out the decree of He who sits upon the throne. (And no, we are not now in the Tribulation if you were wondering. The Rapture of the church must happen before that can occur.)
Let us close with this thought: What God has declared will come to pass, will come to pass. There is nothing you can think, do or pray to stop His decrees. But what you can do is to get in line with what is shortly about to come upon the whole world, and bring some glory to God in the process. So let's make it personal and start with you. Are YOU saved?
