I am sorry that the pastor mocked you when you
wanted to be baptized.
Don't hold that against him, we all screw up, I mean, we all
screw up.
It was not for the pastor that you were wanting to be baptized.
You wanted to obey Jesus.
Even Jesus found it necessary to be baptized.
Follow him.
This is what you wrote.
Because I have never been baptized with water, I was worried
that I was not prepared. This has been worrying me. But I have
abstained from religious systems and buildings because I want to
be sure before I join a church, it has to be Gods true church. I
haven't been able to find it except in the hearts and minds of a
few people that are scattered about. I could not find anyone who
keeps the commandments and teachs them. Or keeps the Sabbath on
the 7th day of the week as commanded by God, Or the feasts of
the Lord! Everyone seems to keep the traditions of man! So I
have been chaste when it comes to religion, keeping to my Bible
and the Word of God, my Father in Heaven! I no longer keep
Christmas, Easter, birthdays, or any other holidays of man,
except Thanksgiving! So I never got baptized with water. Acts
11:16....Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he
said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized
with the Holy Ghost.
You are not going to find a perfect church, some are better then
others.
But for your sake, don't avoid fellowship.
Hebrews 10
Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering;
And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and
to good works:
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the
manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the
more, as ye see the day approaching.
