Paul Wilson and Doves
I cannot say exactly how I came to believe what I am about to share with you Paul and all Doves and wish all would consider this. I think that most of my conclusions of what our future will be like comes from the writings of Joseph Seiss who was a Christian author in the late 1800’s and of course many others.
God’s promise or covenant with Abraham.
And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Gen 13:16
Blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. Gen 22:17
The above promises that God has made to Abraham are not at all understandable if we think that this planet earth is the extent of the available real-estate available for the promised descendents. Further, there will never on this planet be enough jurisdictions to keep the multitude of promised Kings and Priests busy.
"Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this "(Isaiah 9:7).
,"Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and cast into his garden; and it grew, and waxed a great tree; and the fowls of the air lodged in the branches of it. And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened" (Luke 13:18-21).
"The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever" (Revelation 11:15).
I am convinced from these few scriptures that the seemingly infinite creation of the heavens is meant to be inhabited. By whom? The descendents of Adam of course. David will be on the throne here on earth, we, the Church, the Bride of Christ, will be at home in the New Jerusalem and will go in and out.
The two Jerusalem’s: The one shall rest upon earthly mount; the other shall be above the mountains and the hills. The one will need clouds and rain, sunshine and peaceful night; the other has no need of the sun nor of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God shall lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. The one shall have its temple and its altars; the other has not temple therein, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it. And whilst the sons of Abraham in the flesh shall possess Jerusalem that is below, the sons of Abraham by faith in Christ, …have their everlasting bliss and home in “the Jerusalem that is above.” The relation of the one to the other is like that of the Sanctuary to the Holy of Holies. The one is the metropolis of the “new earth;” the other of the “new heavens.” Joseph Seiss.
It is speculated by some that the entire universe will one day teem with life and the redeemed of the Lord will inhabit it.
“And He that sat upon the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said unto me, ‘Write: for these words are true and faithful.’ And He said unto me, ‘It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son’” (Revelation 21:57).
We, the redeemed of Christ, will be a fixed number residing in the New Jerusalem but being Kings and Priests to the universe. Those that survive the millennium will be the seed that fills the universe. I truly believe that our God will have a one on one relationship with every single one of the zillions of inhabitants of this “New Heavens and New Earth.”
If there are other Doves that share this idea or something similar, I would enjoy your studies.
