"To Bonnie"

Bonnie,

The post regarding Furloughs vs. Overtime was only about California and was not eluding to Wisconsin.   I do not understand what is happening there and that is why I had originally posted a question about what is going on in Wisconsin.   But very much I can attest to the fact there is significant corruption in California and the unions here are always trying to fight corrupt politicians.   Here, we are so happy for the unions otherwise the guys would be furloughed to death.  Even the school district has furlough days where the kids don't have to come to school, they get an extra holiday, but what is SO STUPID is they have "Saturday School" so that the teachers can make up their time.   Can't they just not furlough people in California?   I am so sick of hearing on the news every single year the California State Senate has not passed the budget and they are talking about how the state workers will have to go to minimum wage until it is passed.   And then during that time the workers can go to a Federal Credit Union to try to get a payroll loan for the variance of the payroll check that is owed.   And I think once I heard that the State of California issued Warrants to their employees, so that it is really not a check....you have to go to your bank and if the bank decides to cash it, then the State owes the bank money.   The banks are OWNING the states now and I think it is a matter of time before they get rid of the states.  I went on an interview with a local Union in Los Angeles and the CFO had been fired for embezzlement.   The accountant made a quick exit and quit unexpectedly.   Their office staff, including the payroll person interviewed me and everywhere there were pictures of Obama and it reminded me of exactly what they did with Hitler's picture.    Then the City of Bell in California, their City Manager decided to start giving himself raises which was exorbitant.   And the police chief and he had correspondence laughing about it.      Then another guy who worked closely to the Mayor of Los Angeles, well he found out there was some property that the Department of Water and Power was eying for Obama's call for alternative energy so they could put up lots of windmills.   This guy bought the property first and then tried or did sell the property back to the City of Los Angeles for a profit.   Isn't this really considered insider trading?    At least there is a group of unions suing the state for the furloughs in California.

What I cannot understand is why do the Wisconsin senators who are hiding out in Illinois getting paid?   If you don't show up to work without putting in your vacation time in most agencies, you get reprimanded.   Why isn't there a law that even though you are an elected official, you must be in the office to work?   One guy at my husband's work did not call in and missed work and even though he is union, he was not paid.   He took the matter to Human Resources, but he did not win.

YSIC,
Nicole
