March 15, 2011

Dear John Tng and faithful doves,

Subj:  As Japan Has Done to Israel (Part 1)

[Japan releases food to Palestinians]  03/08/11

[Japan Increases Food Support to Palestinian People] 03/09/11 “The Japanese Government is determined to continue its support to the Palestinian people”, said Mr. Naofumi Hashimoto, Representative of Japan to the Palestinian National Authority. “This support comes from a human security perspective as well as from its political stand for the Palestinian efforts to establish a viable independent Palestinian state and to develop the capacities of governmental and local institutions in providing basic daily services to people.”

[M 7.3 quake rocks northeastern Japan, tsunami warning issued] 03/09/11 This was just a foreshock to the big 8.9.

[Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Japan, on the situation in East Jerusalem] 02/08/11

1.        The Government of Japan is concerned about the Jerusalem municipal planning committee’s approval of a plan to build housing units for Jewish people in the Sheih Jarrah of East Jerusalem. Such act goes against the efforts by the international community to resume the negotiations.

2.        The Government of Japan does not recognize any act that prejudges the final status of the territories in the pre-1967 borders nor Israel’s annexation of East Jerusalem.  Japan urges Israel to refrain from any unilateral act that changes the current situation in East Jerusalem.

[Desperation, panic grip Japan after quake] 03/12/11

[Japanese survivors worry about dwindling supplies, food after devastating earthquake, tsunami;] 03/13/11

"Two days after a massive earthquake and the resulting tsunami turned a strip of Japan into wreckage, the hardest-hit areas still don't have enough of what they need, according to those in shelters. There's not enough food, not enough water and no heat. And there are not enough resources to quickly reach - or even contact - the tens of thousands who remain missing."

[Vast Swath of Japan Suffers for Third Day Without Water, Power and Food] 03/13/11 "People across a devastated swath of Japan suffered for a third day Sunday without water, electricity and proper food, as the country grappled with the enormity of a massive earthquake and tsunami that left more than 10,000 people dead in one area alone."
