"REPLY TO ROWINA --  HOW TO  POST LINKS"

Mariel,

You stated in your 3/07 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2011/rowina37.htm that you don't know how to post website links. Where you see the website link at the top of Internet Explorer on your computer screen, place the pointer arrow of your mouse on the website link and right click with your mouse by pressing down on the right button on your mouse once and then releasing the button.  A menu will drop down.  Then place the pointer arrow of your mouse on the word "copy" on the menu and left click by pressing the left button on your mouse once and releasing the button.  Go to your email, and where you want to put the website link in the body of the email,  place the pointer arrow of your mouse over that spot.  Then right click the mouse by pressing down on the right button once and releasing it.  A menu will drop down. Place the pointer arrow of your mouse over the word "paste" on the menu.  Then left click your mouse by pressing down on the left button once and releasing it, and the website link will appear inside your email.

If you want to copy some sentences or paragraphs at a website to put inside an email, then highlight the sentences you want to copy by holding down the mouse's left button while dragging the pointer arrow of the mouse from left to right over the material you want to copy as you move down the page.  Then finally release the left button on the mouse and then right click on the mouse by pressing the right button once, and releasing it.  A menu will drop down.   Place the pointer arrow of the mouse on the word "copy," and left click by pressing the left button on your mouse once and releasing the button.  Then go to your email to the spot where you want to put the material that you copied. Then rightclick the mouse by pressing down on the right button once and release it.  A menu will drop down.  Move the pointer arrow of your mouse to the word "paste" and leftclick the mouse by pressing down once on the left button and then releasing the button.  The material that you copied and pasted should appear inside your email.  I hope these instructions have been helpful to you and that I have explained them simply enough for anyone to follow.  There was a time when all of us didn't know how to copy and paste links including myself.
