In reply to your 3/17 post at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/march2011/paulw317-2.htm I don't know the answer to your question.  However, it would depend where on the New Madrid fault line that a 10.0 earthquake would take place and if any the 15 nuclear reactors on the New Madrid fault line were damaged and leaked radiation.  According to the article below there are 3 reactors in Alabama that are of the same or similar design as the site in Japan that is experiencing problems.
