"GOD IS GOING TO 'TEST THE
LAODICEANS' HERE ON EARTH AFTER THE 'PHILADELPHIANS ARE RAPTURED' TO
Revelation 3:10 (TO THE CHURCH IN PHILADELPHIA)
"Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep
you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world
TO TEST THOSE WHO LIFE ON THE EARTH."
God tells the 'Church in Philadelphia' that they will be raptured
because they have kept his command.
God then tells the 'Church in Laodicea' that He is going to rebuke and
DISCIPLINE them for being lukewarm:
Rev 3:19 (TO THE CHURCH IN LAODICEA)
"Those whom I love I rebuke and DISCIPLINE."
He also tells them that HIS DISCIPLINE is that they will have to BUY
FROM HIM GOLD REFINED IN THE FIRE to become rich.
"I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can
What do the Laodiceans possess with which to pay God that He will
accept as the purchase price for "the gold refined in the fire" other
than their mortal life?
I believe that the "gold" spoken of here is the 'sanctification' which
the wise virgins possessed as lamp oil and the foolish virgins did not
possess enough of. Notice also that the "gold" which the Laodiceans
must "buy" from God comes out of "the fire" in which it is "refined".
What else can this be but 'the fire' of God's wrath?
I believe that (Revelation 3:18) paraphrased means:
"I counsel you" means: I advise you
"to buy from me" means: to be martyered in my name
"gold" means: to gain sanctification
"refined in the fire" means: learned in the fire of my wrath
"so you can become rich" means: so you can also obtain heaven.
I advise you to be martyred in my name to gain sanctification learned
in the fire of my wrath, so you also can obtain heaven.
According to Your Word, come Lord Jesus!
