Revelation 2:10
"Do not fear any of those things which YOU ARE ABOUT TO SUFFER, Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION TEN DAYS. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life."

This Scripture tells us that not only are some Christians caught in the 'great tribulation' of Israel because they are in prison, it also indicates that the length of the shortened tribulation is ten days. If the rapture were to occur BEFORE the shortened tribulation of Israel, these Christians would be raptured right out of prison, and not die in prison. These Christians, who die in prison during the ten day tribulation of Israel, will be part of the 'dead in Christ' that will be resurrected first on the day of rapture.

Luke 21:23
"There will be great tribulation in the land (of Israel) and wrath against this people (the Jewish people)." (This is a localized tribulation of Israel.)

Mattheew 24:22
"If THOSE DAYS had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect THOSE DAYS will be shortened ." (Those days of tribulation in Israel are shortened to ten days.)

Matthew 24:29
"Immediately after the tribulation of THOSE DAYS(After those days of tribulation in Israel).....

The "TEN DAY" 'shortened great tribulation' of Israel is most likely a brief nuclear war brought on by Iran. Modern wars in the middle-east involving Israel are short in duration similar to the 'Six-Day War' in 1967.
