To Vicki: Regarding your post on the "Rebellion" in 2 Thess 2:3
2 Thess 2:1-4 NIV 'Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers, not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by some prophecy, report or letter supposed to have come from us, saying that the day of the Lord has already come. Don't let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion (apostasia g646 link) occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in* (en G1722 may mean: at*) God's temple, proclaiming himself to be God.' (*possibly: at the temple wall?)
The Rebellion (Apostasy) occurs at the time when the Antichrist commits the Abomination of Desolation at the temple mount in Jerusalem. This will be when the majority of the Jews as well as the majority of the world at large commit Apostasy by worshiping the Antichrist after he comes back to life indwelt by Satan following the miraculous healing of a mortal head wound.
