Those suggesting that President Obama is the Anti-Christ because of some sort of numerical gematria coming out to 666 are overlooking the facts of what the Jewish Sanhedrin Rabbinical criteria for accepting a Moshiach.
 
Just because a person's name equals '666' does not qualify him to be the Antichrist.
 
The Jewish Sanhedrin have a criteria by which a person qualifies as a candidate for their Moshiach.
 
1. He must be Jewish (Deut. 17:15; Numbers 24:17).
2.  He must be a member of the tribe of Judah (Genesis 49:10) and a direct male descendent of both King David (1 Chron. 17:11; Psalm 89:29-38; Jer. 33:17; 2 Sam. 7:12-16) and King Solomon (1 Chron. 22:10; 2 Chron. 7:18).
3.  He must gather the Jewish people from exile and return them to Israel (Isaiah 27:12-13, Isaiah 11:12).
4.  He must rebuild the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem (Micah 4:1).
5.  He must bring world peace (Isaiah 2:4, Isaiah 11:6; Micah 4:3).
6.  He must influence the entire world to acknowledge and serve one God (Isaiah 11:9, Isaiah 40:5; Zeph. 3:9).
 
All of these criteria for the Messiah are best stated in the book of Ezekiel chapter 37:24-28).
 
If an individual fails to fulfill even one of these conditions, he cannot be the Messiah (or the Antichrist).
 
These basic 6 points even are incomplete because Orthodox Rabbinical sources state that the Moshiach has to meet the 13 principles of faith as formulated by Maimonides in his introduction to the Chapter Helek of the Mishna.
 
So before conclusions are based on whether a candidate for Moshiach has a gematria of '666' the Jews are looking at a lot more important points.
