"GOD LOVES MACARONI AND CHEESE"

The title of this writing comes with a condition.
This sounds humorous at the onset, but bear with me while I bear witness to how you can hear from God more fully.

I have been born again for five years, previously but no longer, a baby baptized catholic, and it has been a most wonderful journey! I will never change course to the broad road. The narrow one is where my Beloved walks.

One of the first things The Lord worked with me on, was obedience. It is through obedience that we build a faith that can bend steel and a trust that can tread filthy water.
We must be willing to go in and conquer the land even though we seem as grasshoppers. We must not fear, but allow God to give us direction even though He has not yet shown the destination. Through obedience, we show not only that we trust Him, but that we love Him!

In the beginning, in my child-like walk, I wanted to share everything with my Lord and Savior. He took time to come in and sup with me, the least I could do is welcome Him into my world and allow Him to make changes. You must allow Him to change your old wineskin!

I talked to The Lord not only in prayer, BUT IN EVERYTHING I DID! Oh yes, even at 2:00 in the morning on the slothful trek to the porcelain throne. I thought, "Is this blasphemy Lord that I am talking to you at a time such as....this." I knew the answer, but still felt embarrassed.

I shared my thoughts on recipes, gasoline types, changing a tire and grocery shopping. I shared with him phone calls, arguments, dreams and my favorite consumption item...macaroni and cheese. :) I actually invited him to partake in all things Kelly girl! Then He showed me which things were undesirable. I thought they were harmless fun and He showed His disapproval immediately. Why, because I asked Him to approve or disapprove so I could learn more about how He saw things.

I give you a challenge today, that if acted upon will change your relationship and change your very nature in the process. You must know the cost of traveling down this narrow road. It is far from easy. I don't just challenge you, I double dog dare you!  Tell the Lord that you want to hear from Him and learn the obedience factor. Tell Him you are willing to sacrifice the stubborn bull of self-will, the uncontrollable appetites of the goat and get your sheep under firm Almighty Shepherding. Invite Him to sup with you in all things and you will finally learn, if you dare...

that God loves macaroni and cheese!
