"Re: To Doves about the movie, Knowing, etc"

After reading this, and the desire to save $10.00, and encouraging others to do the same, it just bothered me to think of Copyright violations and the phrase "just because you can, should you?" bothered my spirit.

8th commandment "Thou Shalt Not Steal"

Does it include theft of non-real property, like intellectual or creative properties? Does this commandment even allow for the possibility of someone “owning” a creative work and having copyrights over it?

an excerpt by Rabbi Barry H. Block
"If we be not burglars, let us also not steal copyrighted music, videos or software. If we be not armed robbers, let us also not steal from our nation. And let every single one of us who employs another person, even in our own homes, commit ourselves to filing the proper forms and paying the required payroll taxes. Yes, it's a pain in the neck. No, we're not likely to get caught. But failure to do so is a crime with victims: Our employees, our neighbors, ourselves, our children, and our God."

John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

1 John 3:24
And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

1 John 5:2
By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelation 22:14
Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

"To Doves about the movie, Knowing, etc"

Dear Peggy and all others:
Just wanted you to know that you can watch Knowing and almost any other movie you can think of free online at movietvcentral.com

I watched Knowing there the day after it was released to theaters and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it. It had some horrible chilling scenes of destruction that blew my mind but the overall message was incredible. On one hand, I can see how a person watching from a born again standpoint, would see all the Christian nuances and hear one message, and others, see it from an alien, New Age standpoint. I love movies, songs, poems, etc, that can be interpreted in different ways. I write poems like that all the time. I love to see all the various interpretations that people come up with. My favorite lines and scenes from the movie revolved around the scenes in which the Nicholas Cage character (he was once related to me by marriage, haha) tells his son that he knows no matter what, that they will all be together again, even his dead mother and that he has changed his mind and believes in Heaven again. And the last scene where the whole family holds onto one another as the world burns and the father says "This is Not the end." and the son says: "I know." To me, that made the movie. So you can go either of two ways on this movie. Just wanted to throw my two sense worth in. And to share the fact that you don't have to pay $10.00 to watch movies anymore. I've seen some incredible movies on that site, like Fireproof and The Perfect Stranger and some absolute garbage, like Watchmen, that I was so glad I didn't waste my money on. Just type in the name of a movie or the actor's name and it will tell you if it is available anywhere online. I don't know how they do it but they do it and I take advantage of it as long as I can.

I love all you Doves. I don't post very much anymore but I read your letters every day.  RhondaVoo
