"Re: Ken Peters I Saw the Tribulation"
The video of Ken Peters called "I Saw the
Tribulation" is from "The Prophecy Club". I have a lot of their videos
and for years I was very supportive of this ministry because it was a
good source of information such as the Ken Peters video. However, like
so many things there was always a need to be discerning about each
offer and teacher and even the host Stan Johnson himself.
I
knew for example that Stan Johnson believes that the Church (all of it)
will go through the tribulation (I believe in a pre-trib rapture, at
least for some of us: Philadelphia, wise virgins who look for Him) and
he went so far as to no longer allow anyone to speak that does not also
believe his view. In other words, no pretribbers allowed. I remember
when he announced this decision. I therefore can understand why Ken
Peters would say in his Prophecy Club talk that he did not see anyone
alive be raptured but only that he saw graves open and dead come out
etc. I think that he is just trying to keep within the guidelines set
forth by Stan Johnson to be allowed to speak there. For the most part,
I found Peter's talk to be very believable and edifying. I usually turn
it off though when he starts to berate the Americans for not being
spiritual enough and all that, that comes at the end.
I
have to say, that even back when I first found the Prophecy Club, I
always had a negative feeling about Johnson and as time went on I
became completely amazed at how accurate my feelings were. He has been
exposed as something to be aware of and I give you some links for your
own edification as well as some comments I have pasted here from those
sources.
In fairness, I do believe that Stan Johnson is
correct about one thing: that much (not all) of the Church is going to
go through the tribulation, simply because they do not believe the
promises that could have enabled them to escape. The biggest problem I
have with his teaching is that he promises Christians that God will
miraculously protect them through the horrible times using scriptures
that say it will not come nigh thee etc. Well he is dead wrong and his
followers will be severely distressed to find that Antichrist will make
war with them and OVERCOME THEM! Sorry to say. Our blessed hope is to
escape these things not to ride it out through them. But I am preaching
to the choir to the Doves who already know this and are here for that
reason. I love our blessed hope and will not turn loose of it no matter
who preaches against it and I am not surprised when the naysayers are
exposed as false teachers as can be seen below:

Below is an excerpt from one site exposing this ministry:

The
Prophecy Club promoted many false prophets in the past and continues to
promote false prophets and many false doctrines and blasphemies against
God's character even to this day. The Club has become a cult.
The
Club started out with good idea. but it quickly become subverted
towards a money-making venture and devolved into teachings that enabled
it to make more money.

The following is from Johnson's site promoting his view against the pre trib rapture:
(Notice he is calling himself and his wife and his friend all "prophets" Unbelievable!)

With Apostle Stan & Prophet Leslie Johnson and Prophet Tom Deckard.
In
April God began to lay on my heart to do a series of three day meetings
warning God’s people what the prophets say is coming to America.
On
June 22, 2006 following a day of fasting by all Prophecy Club ministers
God gave Leslie and I separate but confirming dreams giving the same
month in which “Great Distress will come upon this nation.” We have
only a few years/months (we are not releasing exactly how many) until
great distress comes upon America!
Since the rapture is NOT
going to save ANYONE, those who have ears to hear what the Spirit is
saying to the churches want to be ready for what is coming. This
conference is about two things: The PROBLEM: warning you of what is
coming; the SOLUTION: Preparing you spiritually and physically.
We
DO recommend you invite everyone, from Pastors to sinners, prophecy
students to the totally uninformed. Time is running out to get people
ready. You can NOT wait until the day of trouble to prepare your self
and loved ones for the day of trouble!
Truth About The Rapture
Using
370 Scriptures, Stan Johnson teaches you more about what the Bible says
about the Rapture than you ever thought possible. Does Scripture
promise to save every believer from all trouble? Could the doctrine of
the pretribulation rapture cause many to be offened and fall away from
Christ and lose their salvation? Could it be that the church has
believed the biggest hoax of all time? Leave no room for doubt, once
and for all, discover for yourself the truth about the Rapture!

Here
Johnson claims that the blessed hope taught by Apostle Paul and Jesus
and promised us by God through Old Testament prophets, is nothing but
"the biggest hoax of all time". Well, as for me and my house, we will
listen to Jesus' promise that when these things BEGIN to come to pass,
not after they end, then our redemption draws nigh!
