(In the new Jerusalem is only light, no darkness or shadows, at all.)
(Jesus, himself, is the light.)
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Revelation 22:5 And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.
(As the days are getting longer, it reminds me that in the new Jerusalem, there is no night there.)
(However, here we experience created light from the sun, and artificial light in our homes.)
(There, the light will not be created nor artificial, but will be Jesus, himself.)
(Yet, in the lake of fire is only darkness, no light at all, even the light of the fire will be darkness.)
Jude 13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
Exodus 10:21 And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
(In true darkness, can that light actually be darkness?)
Matthew 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
(Then it would seem there could be beams of darkness, which make it even darker:)
Job 10:22 A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
(Here, now, is a world of both light and darkness, since the first day of creation.)
(Here, there are shadows, when something comes between and blocks the light.)
(But in the new Jerusalem there are no shadows from that light.)
(There will be nothing there to come between us and Jesus.)
