"eastward in Eden"

I had a question about a place:

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

"eastward in Eden"?
Eastward of what, where he made Adam?
The garden of Gethsemane was eastward, at the foot of the mount of Olives.
Could that garden, which Jesus often went to, be the place where the garden of Eden had been, where the LORD came to visit Adam?
If so, did the LORD come and go, at that time, by way of the mount if Olives?
If so, where did he form Adam and make him alive, at the same place as Calvary?
