This is my first post, but I have been a Doves reader for a couple of years.  It is the first web site I check each day!
 
I think it is imperative to realize the author of this book is a proclaimed prophet of the Church of God, formerly known as the Worldwide Church of God, the church started by Herbert Armstrong.  This author purports to lay forth what the 7 thunders of Revelation revealed, the same thunders that the Apostle John was told not to write about.
 
Herbert Armstrong "borrowed" a large amount of beliefs from Mormonism, thus this author's stance on the 144,000.
 
For an excellent discussion of the Church of God's beliefs, I recommend reading Walter Martin's book: Kingdom of the Cults.
 
On the author's personal web page (http://www.ronaldweinland.com/), he states that there has not been any true evangelists added to the church since Herbert Armstrong.
 
We need wisdom and discernment in full force in these days!
