This is in answer to Randy Larson's question:First Fruit's on the Hebrew Calendar is Sunday, April 27, 4/27/08. To get to Pentecost we count First Fruits plus 49 more days, or 7 weeks, for a total of 50 days inclusive, "penta" meaning 5. In other words we add 49 days. To get to Ascension Day which is the 40th day as opposed to the 50th day, we count First Fruits plus 39 days. As First Fruit's is always on a Sunday, Ascension Day is always on a Thursday. This year the Hebrew Calendar calculated Ascension Day would be June 5, 2008.The 6 Day war started on June 6, 1967 and Jerusalem was recaptured by the Hebrews on June 7, 1967.Steve Berryman did quite a few articles emphasizing a Spring 2008 Rapture and the 40th stripe which would always be short of the 41st stripe in terms of punishment.Which, using the Gregorian calendar puts us before 6/7/2008 for the capture and 6/6/2008 for the start of the war. So 6/5/2008 is the last or second to last day before the "41st stripe".Ascension Day as a Rapture Watch Day is probably the most appropriately named day beside Jesus telling us that He would return as He had left. Also notice that 6/7/2008 can be abbr. 6/7/08 which is like counting stairsteps 6, 7, 8. What an appropriate number sequence as in climbing Jacob's Ladder. And what an appropriate number to end at, the number 8, which stands for New Birth and when laid on it's side represents infinity.Shalom,Ted PorterP.S. Ascension Day figured from "Easter" instead of First Fruits, admittedly mixing the Holy with the profane, would be May 1, 2008, May Day! Mayday is also a cry for Help which this World will surely do if suddenly a multitude of people disappear. Looking Up!
