In the following post by Jim Bramlett, Oct 8-9 is a date a couple have determined could be the rapture.
 
This is interesting to me because in the year 2001 on October 8, I woke up and heard "Oct 8 is the day of trumpets."
 
I didn't know anything about Jewish holidays or anything at that time.  I looked up information on the computer about Day of Trumpets and found it to be Rosh Hashana or "the day of the Lord" sometimes considered the day of trumpets.
 
It is very interesting then that sometime during the day Oct 8 this year in the US it will be Yom Kippur in Israel since they are 8 hrs ahead of us.
 
Is the trumpet blown on Yom Kippur???
