"To Doves That Love Breakfast
Cereal"
Recently I tried the best breakfast cereal I
have ever tasted! Strawberry Crunch from
Melaleuca, Inc. A plus for this product is it's Kosher.
To give you a little background, I usually buy oatmeal
or Toasted Oats (Dollar General's brand of "Cheerios" for $1.50 but tastes
better than the real thing). I am very cost conscious on cereals so it
is a splurge for me to once in a while buy Kashi for my blood sugar. Also
I don't buy cereals with sugar unless I can find one with plenty of fiber.
As an aside note: Cheerios-like cereal, whole oats, lowers cholesterol
better than oatmeal in thirty days.
My friends were raving about the taste of the Strawberry
Crunch. Cinnamon Clusters is available too but the carb content is higher
than I like. (My diabetic doctor wants each meal at 30 to 55 carbs. I keep
it at 30 for weight loss.) I use organic milk and dilute 4 oz. with 1 to
2 oz. of water.
Now for the reason I was willing to pay more for this
cereal. It is loaded with soluble fiber, herbs, antioxidants. Here are
some of the wonderful ingredients:
Whole Oats, Psyllium husks, yogurt powder colored with
beet juice, Aloe Vera leaf, Burdock Root (for blood, liver and digestion),
Ginger Root, Peppermint leaf, Licorice Root (weight loss), Grape Seed,
Green Tea, real strawberries, and more, including vitamines and minerals.
6 g. fiber. After deducting the fiber, has 27 g. of carbs
per one cup serving.
If you would like a cereal that has more food value than
the box it's packaged in, Strawberry Crunch is it. Makes a great dry snack
too. If you crave crunch, it is much better for you than chips.
