"Yahushua's Gift_Passover Dates"

The purpose of this article is not to debate what people say, but rather what Scripture states as Truth versus what is taught observed by the Church.  The Scriptural citations are from ISR Scriptures, but transpose to any version of the Bible.

Mat 7:13 “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.

Mat 7:14 “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

The question one should ask is “Should we observe traditions of men or follow what is written in Scripture?”

This is what we were taught and this is what the Christian Church observes:

Monday

Tuesday

Wednesday

Thursday

Friday

Saturday

Sunday

Maundy Thursday

 “The Last Supper” aka “Passover”

Interestingly enough, this year (2008), Easter and Passover (Pesach) are separated by nearly a month with Easter occurring first, which complicates the above timeline as being correct.

Jesus the Messiah (Yahushua ha Masiach) Himself stated:

Mat 12:39 But He answering, said to them, “A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Yonah.

Mat 12:40 “For as Yonah was three days and three nights in the stomach of the great fish, so shall the Son of Aḏam be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

So if we are to believe in Him, then either the above Scriptural statement is false or it is true.  If it were the Truth, then obviously what is observed above can’t possibly the Truth.  I choose to believe that His statement is Truth and therefore, what is taught and observed by the Christian Church is false.

Scriptural Prophecy spoke volumes of the coming of the Messiah (Masiach).  One must consider the following:

-          The Creator of the Universe (Yahuweh, Melech ha Olam) created the universe and our earth under His design using His timetable.  All physical aspects and dimensions are under His Authority.  He uses His Timetable, not man’s to accomplish all things.

-          Yahuweh passed His Commands, Laws, and His Judgments regarding the manner of which we are to conduct ourselves in this life to man (not only the Jews) through the Torah (The Pentateuch).

-          The Appoint Times of Yahuweh are dedicated in Leviticus 23, often erroneously referred to as the Jewish Feasts.

-          Yahushua was Hebrew, lived amongst Hebrews, and observed His Father’s Torah and Appointed Times.

-          Anti-Semitism prevailed in the early Christian Church, and still does today, which is prophetic.  In the Inquisition, many Jews were forcibly converted to Catholicism or were tortured and killed.  Many fled, furthering the dispersion of the Jews, also prophetic.

Lets explore some key Scriptural prophetic points regarding the Truth and the actual timeline of which Yahushua gave Himself for the world, past, present, and future.

-          He is the Word made flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14 )

-          He is the only begotten Son of God (Elohim) (John 3:16 )

-          He is the Lamb of Elohim to take away the sin of the world (John 1:39 )

-          He is the Bread of Life (John 6:35 )

-          He is the Light of the world (John 8:12 )

-          The Passover Lamb is slaughtered between the evenings of 14th day of the first month (Aviv or Abib) and the bone is not to be broken.  It is also to be eaten with bitter herbs and unleavened bread (Exodus 12 and Numbers 9:12 )

-          Because the blood, death passes over (Exodus 12:11 -13)

-          And at the ninth hour  יהושע  (Yahushua) cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Ěli, Ěli, lamah sheḇaqtani?”  which is translated, “My Ěl, My Ěl, why have You forsaken Me?” (Mark 15:34 , Yahushua quoting Psalm 22:1)

-          It was the Preparation Day for the Hebrews for Passover and the First Day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread which is considered a High Shabbat (high holy day).  The Passover Lamb is slaughtered and prepared for the Passover Meal that at sunset becomes the First Day of the Feast of the Unleavened Bread.  The Pharisees and the elders wanted Yahushua taken down and buried prior to commencement of this high holy day (John 19:31 -36).

-          The Feast of Unleavened Bread is time that the Hebrews remove the leavening, considered as sin, out of their homes, and not eat leavened bread for eight days.

-          The presentation of the First Fruits of the Barley Harvest is presented to the High Priest on the morrow after the Shabbat (that is the weekly Shabbat) to be presented to Elohim as a wave offering (Leviticus 23:11 ).

Dan 9:26 “And after the sixty-two weeks Messiah shall be cut off and have naught. And the people of a coming prince shall destroy the city and the set-apart place. And the end of it is with a flood. And wastes are decreed, and fighting until the end.

Dan 9:27 “And he shall confirm a covenant with many for one week. And in the middle of the week he shall put an end to slaughtering and meal offering. And on the wing of abominations he shall lay waste, even until the complete end and that which is decreed is poured out on the one who lays waste.”

The importance here, contrary to teaching and written in many popular novels, this section refers to the Messiah, not a false messiah.  He will confirm a covenant, the New Covenant in His Blood, He will be cut-off middle of the week, and put an end to slaughtering and meal offering.  When he stated, “It has been accomplished!” (John 19:30) and died, the veil of the Dwelling Place was torn in two from top to bottom (Matthew 27:51), ending the separation between man and Yahuweh except going through Him (Yahushua) and completing the final sacrifice for man (ending the sacrificial system established in the Torah).  He was Yahuweh, He created it, He observed it for a time, and He ended it.

However, that was the only part of the Torah that was fulfilled.  All other facets and Truths of the Torah are still in effect.  Of course, the modern criminal judicial system has replaced the abruptness of the Torah, we don’t stone people any more, but many of the laws of the lands are established from the Torah.  If one wanted to know the Heart of Yahuweh, one should read, understand, and observe the Torah to the best of their ability.

Joh 14:6  יהושע  (Yahushua) said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

With that said, let’s align things according to the Creator’s Timetable and all things Hebrew, remembering that the Hebrew day commences at sunset, unlike the gentile world which commences at sunrise.

Son of Adam (Man) was in the heart of the earth (grave) three days and three nights, thus fulfilling His Statement of Truth.

Presented to the Father as the First Fruits of Man, the only begotten Son of the Father

This is the timeline that occurred on Yahuweh Timetable accomplishing His Feasts and prophecies that fateful week.  It was written by some one that Passover always falls on Wednesday.  This is only true once every seven to eight years, because each year the date to day relationship progresses one day forward day, skipping a day, not date every leap year.

The bottom line, Easter and Passover have no relationship with each other, as evidence this year and that Passover and Resurrection have a greater relationship, but you have to believe and accept the Hebrew nature of our Saviour (Deliverer).

Jer 16:19 O יהוה (Yahuweh), my strength and my stronghold and my refuge, in the day of distress the gentiles shall come to You from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers have inherited only falsehood, futility, and there is no value in them.”
Jer 16:20 Would a man make mighty ones for himself, which are not mighty ones?
Jer 16:21 “Therefore see, I am causing them to know, this time I cause them to know My hand and My might. And they shall know that My Name is יהוה!”

Search the Scriptures, the Truth is embedded in them.

Yahushua ha Masiach is our Master and Deliverer.  May Yahuweh bless you, guide you, sustain you, and give you shalom. Amein.
