Praying for your son Darren to be guided by God in his treatment
choices.

We know that sometimes medication is needed to control blood pressure
and cholesterol, but I can see that his choice of diet and exercise
also could be in God's will for him.  That he will diet and exercise is
very good news, as some people won't do these wise things.

Yet he may need a little assist by meds until he gets this routine
underway.

I am pretty strongly against statin drugs, and I and others have
written on that here, so if he refuses a statin drug I can see that
this could be wise.  Cholesterol is now considered by many doctors and
researchers to not be the primary culprit in heart disease.  But if he
is having chest pains, he needs God's guidance and healing.  Chest
pains can arise from other than heart disease as we usually conceive
it.  Spasm can occur there for other reasons.  Without a block, he's
probably in pretty good shape.

So, praying for Darren to be healed and guided.
