I’m SO happy for you, Shelva!!! My Mom, aunts and I have made up now. Carol moved back to California finally in September 2007… halleluYAH! I want you to know that within weeks after her leaving our property and state, things began to ease. Her demons apparently left with her. Then in January, I found out from my Mom that Carol was back, and staying with my aunts (they two houses from my parents)! I was sick at heart! I told the Lord, “Oh, Father, I am so sick at heart to hear that woman is back, spreading her lies again and influencing my family! I thought she was totally out of our lives, once and for all, and out of her sphere of influence on my family. But you have your reasons.” Mama had called to ask me to put Carol on my Prayers for Illness page because she was very ill. I told her I would do so, but I would put the request from her, and not from me and Richard, which I did. Within 2 weeks of her return to Houston, the Lord took her life. Cancer that she had 10-15 years ago, had returned and killed her that fast! When I had spoken to Pastor Riley about the whole situation, I had told him and I know Mama and the aunts are Christians, though not well grounded in the word, so they are easy to be deceived, and was it possible for true Christians to be possessed by demons. He said no, not “possessed”, but “obsessed”, which made perfect sense. I told him that Mama (who is 83) had always seemed to be obsessed with that woman, which I didn’t understand. Why would my Mom, who had raised me from 2 weeks old (and I’m now 55), believe Carol’s lies rather than to believe in me and Richard? Carol was very good at her lies, and very convincing as a “victim”. She had them all fooled! I finally told Mama, “Mama, I love you dearly, and have always been very close to you, but how can you possibly believe a woman whom you have only known 2 years, over me whom you’ve known 55 years, and your son-in-law whom you’ve known for 12 years, both of which are born-again Christians who devote our lives to living for the Lord? You know that Richard & I serve the living God like you do, and if I tell you ‘As Father Yahweh is my witness’, I am telling you 100% the truth. I have enough fear of and love for Him not to ever do such a thing! I am telling you right now, as Father Yahweh is my witness, that the woman is a pathological liar and a troublemaker who wants to break up families, and if you want a relationship with me in the future, you will never mention her name to me again. The Lord will take care of the situation from here on out. I love you, but that woman has done nothing but hurt me and Richard, after all we’ve done for her, and I’m not going to hear anything more about her.” And until she asked me to put Carol on the prayer list, she was good to her word and didn’t bring her up any more. And hasn’t brought her up since that time either. When Carol left, the feelings of anger and oppression disappeared from our lives. Be very careful who you trust. I have always been a very trusting person until someone proves to me they can’t be trusted, or until the Lord reveals to me the fact. I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone personally who was demon possessed, and it was quite an eye opener! Thanks to all of you for being here for me when I need a shoulder to lean on!
