One reads the news every day and we are shocked, yet less shocked than we were yesterday by what is being done to people. I sometimes ponder what this world would be like if all the people in the world that thought they were Christians because they are trying to live "good" lives and have tried to keep most of the commandments, if they only knew they were going to hell, because they have not repented and forsaken their sins. There may be more Christians in the world, but then there also would be more people, as we say, "going off the deep end." It seems to me that the ones doing this are just those that have come to grips with the fact that they don't give a flip about where they are going to spend eternity, or they already know they are wicked and are more willing to go out in a blaze of gory. It is amazing that there are not more ghastly stories than there are. It seems that the advantage to us is that they still think there is hope for them to squeak into heaven by their goodness. This just helps us to see that the days ahead, when the salt of the earth is removed, are going to be absolutely atrocious. May the Lord God Almighty help us to be that salt that lives may be changed by His grace. Still, the greatest miracle ever performed was the heart wrecked with sin transformed by the precious work of a loving Savior. Thank you Jesus!! God bless you all and may He bless you John for your faithfulness to us. Sometimes we may take it for granted when we come on to the website and here it is, all laid out wonderfully. Almost like magic. Thanks.Michael Westphall
